Understanding Mukha Roga in Ayurveda: In Ayurveda, oral hygiene is a crucial aspect of overall health maintenance. Practices such as using herbal medicinal stems for brushing, tongue scraping, oil pulling, and herbal gargling are emphasized for maintaining oral health and preventing dental issues.

About Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth: RAV, located in New Delhi, is a premier autonomous institution under the Ministry of Ayush. It is dedicated to the promotion and propagation of Ayurveda through various training programmes. RAV is the nodal agency for this initiative, ensuring high standards and expert-led training.

Programme Details: The training focuses on Shalakyatantra, one of the eight branches of Ayurveda. This branch deals with the diagnosis and treatment of diseases related to the head and its sensory organs, including the eyes (Netra), ears (Karna), nose (Nasa), and oral cavity (Mukha). Oral health is vital for human perception and communication, making this training essential for practitioners.
